maids as they are, a comedy by Elizabeth Inchbald, first performed
in 1798. Her other plays include Animal
magnetism (a short farce, being performed with Wives…), and Lovers’ Vows, familiar to readers
of Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park. |

Michael Burrell, our local professional actor and director, is running a
workshop on prompting for us: . This should be an enlightening – and even
controversial – evening, with Michael drawing on his long experience in the
professional theatre.
